Tag 114 / Day 114

Wir versüßen uns die Segeltour mit einem vorzüglichem Frühstück und einem Badestopp kurz vor Palermo. Vor der Einfahrt in die Marina entdeckt AYO ihr Geschwisterchen, zugegeben es ist ihr größeres Geschwisterchen. Beim Anlegen erleben wir einen Schreckmoment als sich die Mooringleine in der Schraube und Welle verfängt. Mit Mühe bekommt Philip die Leine gelöst und findet sogar noch die eigentliche Mooringleine wieder. Nach dem Gang in die Capitanerie tauchen wir in die Straßen von Palermo ein. Fasziniert und zugleich überwältigt stehen wir am Quattro Canti, dieser von barocker Architektur eingerahmte Platz ist nur ein Vorgeschmack auf das was da noch kommt.

We sweeten the sailing tour with an excellent breakfast and a swim stop just before Palermo. In front of the entrance to the marina, AYO discovers her sibling, admittedly it’s her bigger sibling. When docking, we experience a moment of shock when the mooring line gets caught in the probeller and shaft. Philip gets the line loose with difficulty and even finds the actual mooring line again. After going to the Capitanerie, we dive into the streets of Palermo. Fascinated and at the same time overwhelmed, we stand at the Quattro Canti, this square, framed by baroque architecture, is just a foretaste of what is to come.
