Tag 76 / Day 76
Heute brechen wir früh Richtung Elba auf. Das spiegelglatte Meer hat etwas magisches. Durch das kristallklare Wasser lässt sich der Meeresgrund sogar bei 10 metern Wassertiefe bewundern. Bei diesem Anblick können wir uns kaum vorstellen, daß für die kommende Woche entlang der Westküste Korsikas Mistral angesagt ist. All unsere Anfragen an die Marinas werden abgelehnt, weil sie voll sind. Nicht nur wir wollen den Mistral abwettern. Daher entscheiden wir uns erst einmal gegen Elba. Philip findet eine gut geschützte Bucht am Festland, wo wir uns vor Anker legen. Wir genießen die Sonne, das Wasser und den Strand. Zum Abend wird uns ein Unterhaltungsprogramm vom Strand aus geliefert. Ausserdem planen wir unsere nächsten Schritte.
Today we leave early towards Elba. There is something magical about the mirror-smooth sea. The crystal-clear water allows you to admire the seabed even at a depth of 10 meters. With this sight we can hardly imagine that Mistral is announced for the coming week along the west coast of Corsica. All our requests to the marinas are denied because they are full. Not only we want to weather the Mistral. That’s why we decide against Elba first. Philip finds a well sheltered bay on the mainland where we anchor. We enjoy the sun, the water and the beach. An entertainment program is delivered to us from the beach in the evening. We are also planning our next steps.
