Tag 71 / Day 71

Heute mieten wir uns erneut einen Roller. Wir fahren entlang der Küste, passieren Rapallo und Santa Margherita Ligure. Die kurvigen und steilen Straßen sind überfüllt mit Menschen, die das gleiche Ziel haben wie wir, Portofino. Das kleine Fischerdorf ist überlaufen mit Touristen, Reisegruppen, Besitzer*innen von Luxusyachten und uns… wie vermissen den Charme dieses malerischen Örtchens. Wir entfliehen dem Trubel und fahren hoch zur “Sanctuary of Our Lady of Montallegro”, einer Kathedrale aus dem 16. Jahrhundert.

Today we rent a scooter again. We drive along the coast, passing Rapallo and Santa Margherita Ligure. The winding and steep streets are crowded with people who have the same destination as us, Portofino. The small fishing village is overrun with tourists, tour groups, owners of luxury yachts and us… we miss the charm of this picturesque little place. We escape the crowds and drive up to the “Sanctuary of Our Lady of Montallegro”, a 16th century cathedral.
