Tag 21 / Day 21

Welch eine Überraschung nach einer regnerischen Nacht finden wir zwei Stangen baguette in unserem Cockpit, der Freundliche Alleinreisende Boots Nachbar hat sie uns vor seiner Abreise dorthin gestellt. Merci beaucoup! Die Landschaft öffnet sich. Der Canal de l’Est den wir jetzt befahren ist zum Teil sehr flach und schmal. Manchmal gibt es einen Baumstamm zu umfahren. Die Misteln in den Bäumen werden zahlreicher. Wir kommen nach ein paar Stunden fahrt in Stenay an. Die Farben in der Stadt zeigen uns, dass wir immer mehr in den Süden kommen.

The landscape opens up. The Canal de l’Est that we are now navigating is very flat and narrow in some parts. Sometimes there is a tree trunk to avoid. The mistletoes in the trees are getting more numerous. After a few hours we arrive in the city Stenay. The colors in the city show us that we are coming more and more south.
