Tag 18 / Day 18

Wir starten heute gemütlich. Die erste Schleuse des Tages kommt nach wenigen Minuten und darauf folgt die erste Fahrt für Aleks durch einen 500 Meter langen und 4 Meter breiten, dunklen Tunnel. Ayo ist 3 Meter breit!!! Das passt also. 

Beate und Philip kommen gar nicht aus ihren Bootsschuhen und Schwimmwesten raus, wir schleusen insgesamt 10 mal! Darunter sind hauptsächlich Selbstbedienungs-Schleusen. In Laifour, in einem winzigen Dorf am Kanal de Meuse essen wir wunderbares Essen im “La table du pays” von der Köchin Chloé, Delicious!

We start comfortably today.  The first lock of the day comes after a few minutes and this is followed by Aleks’ first ride through a 500 meter long and 4 meter wide dark tunnel. Ayo is 3 meters wide!!! So that fits.

Beate and Philip can’t even get out of their boat shoes and life jackets, we lock a total of 10 times!  Among them are mainly self-service locks. In Laifour, in a tiny village on the Canal de Meuse, we eat wonderful food at “La table du pays” by the chef Chloé, Delicious!
