Tag 17 / Day 17

Wir besuchen das beeindruckend gestaltet Museum mit historischen Dokumenten und Ausstellungsstücken über die Belagerung Belgiens zum Ersten Weltkrieg durch Deutschland. Wir sind tief bewegt und voller Unverständnis wie man einander so etwas antun kann. Am späten Nachmittag erreichen wir Frankreich. Wir legen in der kleinen Ortschaft Givet an mit dem wichtigsten Hafenmeister der Welt an. Wir trinken unseren Anlege Rum zu “Salzig schmeckt der Wind” von Rummelsnuff. We visit the impressively designed museum with historical documents and exhibits about the siege of Belgium during the First World War by Germany. We are deeply moved and full of incomprehension how people can do something like this to one another. In the late afternoon we reach France. We stay in the small village Givet with one of the most important harbor master worldwide. We drink our mooring rum to the Song “Salty tastes the wind” from the Band Rummelsnuff.
